MY GRIEF

Fresh graduate in the market, what do you know?
Move here and there, looking for a job
All that they will do is take as cheap labor
Give you hope of better salary, better commission

Poor graduate work so hard, make money for you boss
Come early to work, live late when the sun set
Poor graduate work over time with no payment
Work on weekend, work on Eid day, work, work, work

Ask no more questions wait for end of month
Get you little cash that will feed you over the month
Do not die for hunger i feed you well
i smile with your hard work but i pay you as i want

Or i may decide to tell you you may go
I got someone more experienced than you
Poor graduate your heart is full of grief
Go back to the streets and the circle goes on and on

Rude boss am tired of mistreatment
I am leaving i would rather stay home
Rather do my own things, rather get rid of the grief
I have hope,i will prosper,i will explore

Have you ever?

Have you ever been weak?
And ask yourself why?
Have you ever been so strong ?
And wonder where it all comes from?
Have ever failed?
And feel how it feels to fail?
Or you just comfort those who fail but you know nothing about it?
Have you ever stayed hungry and thirsty or fast the whole day
And understand how it feels to have nothing in your pocket?
So that you feel what a bagger feels?
Have you ever been to cell?
And inhale the stinking hot air in it?
So that you imagine how it is to send an innocent one there?
Have you ever fallen in love to someone who does not deserve it
Have ever felt like love is not for you?
Have you ever met someone you wish you had met earlier?
Have you ever been nice to someone?
And fell how it is when one is relieved because of you good deeds?
Have you ever been the one to tell some one you can do it
And see how they work hard to achieve?
Have ever been appreciated, that your contribution is valuable?
Have you ever been a log that someone holds not to sink
And later throw it after they cross a turbulent river?
Have ever been a door that someone passes through to their bright future?
I have ever, I have ever so I know how all this feels
Yes i know how it does
Have you ever?

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there,i do not sleep
I am a thousands winds that blow
I am a diamond glints on the snow
I am the sunlight on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you weaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplift rush
Of quite birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there.I did not die
I finished my journey we are all heading there

Faith the weapon

The strongest weapon against all setbacks
The only thing that keeps me breathing
The only reason to be me
Without it long I would perish

The stronger it is in you the better you are
It can move you from insanity to sanity
 From sickness to health
From the ground to the space
As it moved me from nobody to somebody
From petal soft to metal hard

And darkness to enlightenment From sadness to happiness
Heartbreak to whole heart
Coward to legend It is invisible, its a trophy to win
The battle between loser and victors
Evil and good
A gateway between you and your success
Embrace it,it makes the whole you

African beauty

Red earth beneath her feet
Blazing sun on her soft dark silky skin
Thirsty and hungry like a lioness in the forest
A a big bunch if firewood in her head,a beautiful African angel on her back
Walking straight and strong,as her African curves swing side to side
Oh mama Africa, beautiful naturally with no make up
Her dark skin shining like galaxy
Big beautiful coffee brown eyes decorate her oval face
With brown lips covering her pure white teeth
She who has a loving heart,to care and respect
Child of Africa love your mother love your home
Ashamed be never of where you come from.
Keep that dark beautiful skin, never try to change who you are

THE STAR

So high in the sky
Bigger than other,shining brighter
 Seen before others
Dear star, how high should I jump to get you?
So hard I work to bring you closer
So late I bed to fight for how best I can be to have you
So keen u get to get a brighter you

I the daughter of farmer too deserve to have you
I jump high to get it I am not tired yet
Some day I will get it,hold it and shine like others
My race to the sky is on,I am close to the star
And nothing can stop me getting the star
Hold it like a trophy make my mama proud
Yes u will, because I can
